Riding Lessons on Spoon

As you can see Spoon is loving all of the attention he has been getting, learning how to follow rules and be a good horse.  Nicol (the horse's trainer) says that Spoon has the personality of a Labrador Retriever...so I guess that means he is a mellow and easy going guy.

He enjoys being ridden and LOVES attention almost as much as he enjoys food - making him and Elba a match made in heaven!  Elba has officially claimed Spoon as her horse.

Bode is now officially MY (Susan's) horse! :)

Elba and Spoon have been bonding over the last few weeks while I have been away.  I had shoulder surgery and have been gone for 3 weeks. The riding lessons with Nicol have been very rewarding for both Elba and Spoon.

Winter is over and Spring is in full force with the grass growing and the flowers blooming as well as time for lots of horseback riding.

Spoon was doing round pen training today and soon will  be adventuring out and about in Herald, CA .
